I had so many ideas running through my head of recipes to make. I had decided on Knock-Off Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bars, like I was planning on making them as of the beginning of October so I could make something with the secret ingredient. Then the inevitable happened - I saw the same bars on Pinterest, pinned from a few different bloggers I follow. I don't mind someone else had the same good idea as me, but it totally derailed my plans.
Next thought was Mini White Chocolate Cranberry Cheesecakes, but that was going to take so much effort and time was strapped. So cookies it was. I had everything on hand I needed. I didn't want so regular old cranberry cookies though. Chocolate to the rescue. These cookies are totally delicious, and cranberries make them healthy - or something like that.

Double Chocolate Cranberry Cookies
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
12 ounces dark chocolate chips
1 cup orange-flavored (or regular) dried cranberries
6 ounces white chocolate chips
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a small bowl, combine flour, salt and baking soda. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Add eggs; mixing after each addition.
- Add half flour mixture to wet ingredients. Mix until just moistened. Add in remaining flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Place tablespoonfuls of cookie dough onto a sil-pat lined (or ungreased) baking sheet.
- Bake for 7 1/2 to 9 minutes. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes. Transfer cookies to wire rack and cool completely.
