Confession: I’m terrible athousework.
I don’t like doing housework(who does?) so it often falls to the wayside. Then it looks like a hoarder lives in my house and I have to spend anentire weekend cleaning it up.
It needs to stop.
So this fall I’m gettingorganized.
It starts with the calendar. This is calendar 2.0 and chore list 2.0, by the way. The first versions didn’t work so well (seehoarder comment).
I grabbed a cheapy pictureframe from Walmart and made a chart to keep myself organized. It’s difficult to see in the photo, buthere’s gist of it:
| Day | Chore | Craft | Work | Meal Plan |
| M | Grocery Shopping | Scrapbook | | |
| T | Ironing/Fold anything left in baskets | Sewing | | |
| W | Sweep/Mop | Baking | | |
| R | Vacuum/pick-up | Blogging | | |
| F | Clean Bathrooms | | | |
| S | | | | |
| Su | Meal Planning/ Coupons/ Grocery list | | | |
A few fields are leftblank. I fill those in as I go with adry erase marker since they work so well on the glass. I’ve added crafting to the chart in an effortto reclaim naptime as craft time and do my chore right away in themorning. In addition to the chart, I’mworking on the assumption that the dishes will be done daily, as well askitchen and dining room pick up. Laundrywill also be done as needed. In thepast, I tried to put laundry on a certain day of the week, but it got to be toooverwhelming, It seems to work better for me to do a couple loads 2-3 times perweek.
In an effort to actually keepmyself organized, I’ve decided to keep myself accountable here on Sundays.
This week the chores wentreally well, the crafting not so much. Ithink once I get myself into my chore routine, the crafting will follow.
Here’s how this week went.

And of course:
This year, one of my goals is to take 1 photo a day. This is my life this week…
